We are more than growers — we are builders of community, culture, and sustainable futures. Rooted in the fertile soils of Illinois and connected to the agricultural traditions of the African diaspora, our mission is to cultivate health, heritage, and opportunity through regenerative agriculture.
We grow culturally important crops such as mustard greens, turnip greens, collards, okra, radish, sweet peppers, southern peas, and heritage herbs — ensuring that families across Chicagoland can access the flavors of home while advancing local food sovereignty.
We sell our produce through our CSA, or ‘community supported agriculture’ program, offering seasonal vegetables for pick-up or delivery to those who sign up. We also offer heirloom seeds, preserves, sauces, and our homemade chow chow.
